Bush ‘failures’, Obama’s ‘Success’?
If you are looking for a bumper sticker to sum up how President Obama has handled what we inherited, it’s pretty simple: Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.
Bush initiated the Auto-Bailouts (alongside the Bank Bailouts) - Obama just added the Czars and then threw more money at it.
According to Obama Administration…
intelligence gained from interrogations at the U.S. base was directly responsible for helping security forces track down and kill Bin Laden. [Link]
You know, Guantanamo… that horrible, despicable, and barbaric place set up under the Bush Administration that Obama promised to close in 2007: [LINK]
Oh and don’t forget…
Obama ended the War in Iraq.
On Bush’s suggested timetable.
So what? Am I suddenly a Bush apologist? Not necessarily. Unlike many, I DO NOT hate the guy. Was he a good President? No. Was he that horrible person the media makes you think he is? No! In fact, as I told you earlier this week, Bush tried to reform Freddie and Fannie 7 years before the crisis… But you’ll never hear him get credit for that.
What I wanted to point out here is how sad the Administration must be to dig up partial truths just to show a good record. The economic record is trash - so they find the “…I killed Obama…I resurrected GM… I ended Iraq” as their rallying cry; but they cannot even take complete credit for it. Yikes!
There is also something to be said about the Right and their willingness to be antagonist. Obama ended Iraq (on Bush’s terms) and they blamed Obama - would they have ridiculed Bush? Not as much I am sure, but Potentially… as they did not like Bush’s auto-bailout and were vocal about it.
